"How hard can it be?" Harry asked an exasperated Draco, who was hidden behind a growing pile of books. As he saw Draco's glare peering out from behind the stack, he knew he was in trouble.

"Oh, really?" came the challenge.

"Well ... I mean ... Hermione always --" He stopped abruptly, realizing that he was going from bad to worse.

"What about Granger?" Draco snarled through clenched teeth. "Surely you are not suggesting that she would have found this by now, are you?"

"Um ... no ... of course not."

"Strange, but that's certainly how it sounded to me!"

"No, Draco. Really ... I just meant that ... well ... every time I needed some information, Hermione buried herself in a pile of books, and then she would come out from under them all with the answers. And since - now don't get mad at me for saying this - the two of you have that whole book thing in common, I thought ... well, I figured you had some special magical talent for finding things faster than ... well, faster than people like me." Harry looked at Draco hopefully, quite pleased with himself for covering up so well.

Draco rolled his eyes. "That was pathetic, even for you, Potter," he said. "Special magical talent, indeed. We read. It's not that spectacular a feat, you know. You ought to try it sometime."

"Hey, I read!" Harry said, rather insulted. "I read all the time!"

A grin spread widely over Draco's face. "Excellent! Now that we've established that, you find the Bloody Baron's story. I think I'll go join Mother for a spot of tea."

Harry looked at the teetering pile of books that Draco left in his wake, wondering just how he had managed to get out-Slytherined yet again.
