“Harry?” came Ron’s voice as he entered the Gryffindor Common Room to find Harry and Malfoy snogging on the sofa, both of them looking like they were not coming up for air any time soon. “Ahem! Harry!”

Something registered in Harry‘s brain, and he and Draco broke apart. He turned around to see Ron staring at him, eyes wide and mouth hanging open.

"It was a dare?" he offered feebly. Ron stormed out of the room. Harry saw no point in following, so he returned to the game where everyone was staring at him and Draco. “What?”

“Well,” began Blaise, who shared a knowing glance with Seamus.

“Your two minutes was up about two and a half minutes ago,” finished Seamus, with an amused look on his face.

Harry turned to look at Draco, who was looking positively adorable with his cheeks flushed a light shade of pink. He turned back to Blaise and Seamus, shrugged his shoulders, and said, “carry on, then.”

Later that night, Harry heard Ron return to their dormitory, mumbling under his breath. “A dare. A bloody dare. Can‘t the prat ever just NOT accept the dare?”

“Well, I could I suppose,” Harry responded from behind his bed curtains, interrupting Ron’s quiet tirade. “But then what would be the point of the game?”

“But … but … it was Malfoy! I suppose you would have shagged him too if they’d dared you to do that?”

“Of course not!” Harry replied indignantly.

“Well, good. Glad to hear that.”

“No,” came a familiar drawl from the vicinity of Harry’s bed. “He did that all on his own.”

As Draco took possession of Harry’s mouth with his own, they could hear a loud thud next to Ron’s bed.

Well, I figure he needed a reason the first time. Now, of course, he'd need an excuse NOT to!
