"I'm the one your mother warned you about, Malfoy."

Harry heard the words as he approached the corner of a Ministry corridor. Instinctively, he drew his wand and yelled, "Expelliarmus!" and directed his wand at whomever was there with Draco.

As he watched the man's wand fly out of his reaching hand, Harry saw the familiar Dark Mark on the man's forearm. "Impedimenta! Incarcerus!" he called, and in short order he had captured, bound, and for good measure, knocked unconscious the unknown wizard.

Once satisfied that the Death Eater no longer posed a threat, Harry turned to Draco. "Are you okay?"

Draco, wand held limply in his shaking hand, looked up at Harry. "Will it ever be over?" he asked weakly.

"I sure hope so," Harry said, smiling as he put a friendly arm around Draco's shoulders. "Saving your life is getting old, you know."

Draco shook free of Harry's arm and glared at him. "Do you think I want you to keep showing up like some knight in shining armour to save me?!"

Harry chuckled at this image. "I dunno, Draco … I think you'd make rather a pretty damsel in distress."

Draco's eyes went wide with … shock? fear? Harry couldn't tell if he was angry, insulted, or just irritated. Taking advantage of Draco's momentary disbelief, Harry lifted the man's chin and placed a soft, chaste kiss upon his lips.

"Very pretty."
