Challenge: For coffeejunkii's birthday. Her request was "post-hogwarts/post-war fics where they are in an established relationship. The challenges of everyday life are always fun, and of course I love the boys with children." And it happens to fit the hd_fluff prompt of "back to school."
Summary: Harry and Draco see their three children off to Hogwarts.

"Dad! I can't find my cauldron!"

"How do you lose a cauldron?" Harry called up the stairs to his youngest son, who was packing for his first year at Hogwarts.

"I shrank it so it wouldn't take up so much room, but now I don't know where it is," came a desperate cry.

"You shrank it?! But … you're not supposed to do magic outside school!"

Draco chuckled. "Harry, you don't seriously expect them not to use magic at home, do you?"

"What? Well of course I do," Harry said, remembering all too well not being allowed to do magic at Privet Drive.

Draco rolled his eyes. "Accio the cauldron," he called upstairs, winking cheekily at Harry, who glared at his husband in exasperation.

"How am I supposed to keep them in line if you keep undermining me?"

"Harry," Draco smirked, "this is not a Muggle household, and within the confines of this house, no Statute of Secrecy will be broken, as there will be no Muggles entering that don't already know we are wizards. And that, after all, is the spirit behind the law, isn't it?"

"Fine!" Harry huffed, knowing that there was no point trying to argue with a pureblood Slytherin. Besides, if he was really honest with himself, he had to admit that Draco had a point.

By the time they made it to King's Cross, however, their moods had reversed; Harry was laughing and Draco was the one frustrated. Draco hated things to be disorganized, and he hated to be rushed. Harry, on the other hand, was reminded of the joyous mayhem at the Burrow each year as they all prepared to go back to school. When he told Draco as much, his husband's mood became even worse. He didn't appreciate being compared to the Weasleys, even after all these years.

As they saw their three children off to school, frustration and amusement were quickly replaced with melancholy.

"Well, that's it then," Harry said sadly. "I can't believe they're all gone now."

"Until Christmas," Draco reassured him, taking Harry in his arms and giving him a warm hug. "It'll be alright, Harry. We'll hear from them tonight, when we find out what house he's been sorted into."

"Oh, please! He's a Slytherin through and through."

Draco chuckled. "I suppose so," he agreed. Nudging Harry's shoulder, he added, "You know, it's not such a bad thing."

"I know," Harry agreed. "After all, his brother is in Slytherin, you were in Slytherin, and I very nearly got placed there myself. I don't mind which house he's in, just so long as he's happy."

"True, but that's not what I meant." At Harry's confused look, Draco explained. "I mean it's not such a bad thing that they're all gone now."

Harry looked scandalized. "How can you say that?" he asked incredulously.

"Because," Draco growled in his husband's ear. "Now I get to have you all to myself."

Harry's spirits lifted instantly. "What are we waiting for, then? Let's go home!"

Author's note: The presumption is that Draco has been teaching the children some basic spells before they start at Hogwarts. Given that the children are Harry and Draco's, I am taking the leap that they would all pick up spells quickly, which would enable even an 11-year-old Malfoy-Potter to shrink and/or Accio a cauldron. ;)
