One Hundred Words (H/D drabble, G)
Aug. 23rd, 2007 05:34 pmTitle: One Hundred Words
Author:
sesheta_66
Rating: General
Word Count: 100 words exactly - just for you, Gabriel.
Challenges:
dracoharry100's prompts: #24 - heat wave, #25 - silverware, #26 - perseverance, #27 - farewell; #28 - duck; #29 - blues; #31 - I'm a believer
Warnings: DH spoilers.
Summary: A request to add 100 more words to my latest fic, "And Then There Was Peace - Part 1" resulted in this silliness. This is NOT part 2 - that will come later. This is merely a silly little "extra," as demanded by Gabriel.
Disclaimer: The characters contained herein are not mine. They belong to JK Rowling and her publishers. No money is being made from this fiction, which is presented for entertainment purposes only.
This is a blatant attempt to be a smart-arse, and fit all seven prompts into one 100-word drabble. Read at your own risk. Oh, and read the real story here first, or you won't know what's going on. Trust me, it's much better than this one. ;o)
As I release Draco's hand to say farewell, I hear, "Duck!"
I'm a believer in "better safe than sorry", so I try pushing Draco down, but he resists. With perseverance, I'm able to get him out of the way just in time. Silverware flies by our ears, and we narrowly escape decapitation.
Draco rolls his eyes at me. "Being around you is dangerous. And I'm tired of you saving me!"
I smile, thinking that a friendship with Draco might just get me through the blues. Or maybe the heat wave did something to me, and I've gone round the twist.
