It started with a kiss. No, that's not right. It started with a fight. Well, isn't that always the way with us? Always fighting, taunting, teasing. Only this time it ended much differently.

We sized each other up, moved into each other's personal space, same as always. No surprises there. Then we looked into each other's eyes. That was when things changed. There was something burning in those grey depths. I couldn't tell just what it was, but it was more than the usual anger. I don't know what came over me, what possessed me to do it, but I leaned in and brushed my lips against his.

To my surprise, he didn't push me away. Instead, he smirked at me, arched an eyebrow, then leaned in. One hand behind my head, and the other on the small of my back, he pressed his lips against mine. As I wrapped my arms around him, I darted my tongue out, and his lips parted, allowing me entry. A warmth spread through me as we began to explore each other's mouths, tongues touching, feeling, tasting. He tasted vaguely of tea and chocolate and Draco. He tasted wonderful. The kiss was perfect. Real.

It was over as quickly as it began. We heard someone approaching, and broke apart quickly, not knowing what to say or what to do. We stared at each other awkwardly before we grabbed our things and went our separate ways.

Now I sit here, wondering how I can get him alone again. I don't know if he wants it too. I don't know what it would mean for us. After all, we are on opposite sides of the upcoming war, aren't we? I don't know if it would, or if it even could work out. Frankly, I don't much care. All I do know is that I want him. More than I've wanted anything in my life.

I have to try.

No idea (my first fic exchange, although I submitted for slashfest too. But I got them both submitted, so I didn't have to ask. I believe lire_casander got a bit of an extension. Perhaps you should plead your case to the mods. But STILL work on it!

I am! Draco's being snarky in his head and I keep stopping to laugh at him, which is really unproductive and Ron's just like oh for the love of---STFU! and yeah.......not productive. Kick Draco for me so he finally understands that its allllll hisssssssssss fault!

Damn, ah well, jumped to a new part. Snape intervenes and saves Harry from drinking himself to the point of alcohol poisoning on Hermione's request. This is so hard for me not to turn it into a Snarry, but I've been good and haven't and I just wrote the end with kissy face Draco and Harry and sorry, babbly...*flushes*

Strangely, I don't think I'll need one anymore, I was thinking about it, but I don't actually need one. I'm writing the last two pages as I'm typing this out. Very excited about it too. I'll have exactly 70 pages. I'm just hoping the last like 8 aren't complete crap. Well, if they are I'm sure my beta reader will tell me anyways.
