"What are you packing oranges for?" Harry asked.
"Our trip," Draco said with a smile. "I've read up on this, you know, and it's the best way to prevent scurvy."
"Um, Draco ..."
"Do you know how disgusting scurvy can be? I mean, aside from the whole death thing. People lose their teeth! Could you imagine?" He shuddered.
"Draco, really, you don't need to --"
"It's no wonder pirates were a mess. Well, of course, a lack of proper bathing facilities would have something to do with it, but still. They could have taken a dip in the water a bit more often, I should think." He wrinkled his nose as he said it, and merrily threw a couple more oranges in his bag. "At least these days there are proper bathing facilities." He shot Harry a dangerous look. "There are proper facilities, aren't there? Because --"
"Draco, stop!" Harry began to remove the oranges from Draco's bag. "We are not taking food with us."
"But scurvy!"
Harry tried not to laugh. He really did.
"It's not funny, Potter! My teeth are perfect, and I have no intention --"
"Draco! We are going on a cruise ship."
"A Muggle cruise ship, Harry. Hel-lo?! You just can't be too sure."
Taking his boyfriend by the shoulders, Harry spun him around to look directly into his eyes. "Draco, listen to me. The cruise ships are luxurious. They have proper facilities, swimming pools, hot tubs, and oranges."
"They do?"
"Of course they do. Along with so many other types of fruit and other foods that I couldn't name them all if I tried."
"Really?"
"Draco, did you really think that I would subject you to anything sub-standard for our vacation?"
"Well, it is a Muggle ship."
"Only because wizards don't have cruise ships."
Draco didn't look convinced.
"Didn't you even look at the brochures I got?"
"Well ..."
"Draco, if for no other reason than my own sanity, and my desire to keep my bollocks attached to my body, I would never take you some place where you would be in anything less than above-standard accommodations, with above-standard meals."
"Really?"
Harry handed Draco one of the pamphlets he had on his desk. "Really!"
"Damn," Draco grumbled as he flipped through the brochure.
"What?"
"Well, I was rather hoping to position myself after this trip, to ensure I would be the one choosing our vacations for the next ten years or so."
Harry rolled his eyes, realizing that he would just never win with Draco. Ever.
