Darkness, shadows. Flashes of light surround him, fly past his head, barely missing him. Red, yellow, white. Sparks erupt, glimmering and illuminating the room.

Red comes soaring towards him, and he's flying across the room like the rays of light, in slow motion, then he's falling, falling. He lands with a crash, his eyes close, but lights continue to flash behind his lids, sparkling like diamonds. Then all is black.

His eyes open; he cannot focus. He sees green. Blurs of white and black. But at the centre is green, reflecting back at him. And he knows he is safe.

Heh ... I was wondering why my drabble that was meant to be a bit frightening at first, but with a hopeful ending ended up generating laughter. *rolls eyes*
