I wrote this up a while ago, but was posting so much I didn't want to add another thing, so here goes now (borrowed from a whole lotta people):
Jumping on the first "Year in Review" meme bandwagon I've seen, below are the first lines of the first fics I posted each month in my journal in 2007. Where there is a repeat of a fic (multi-part), or a collaborative effort with others, I have posted the next fic from that month. I've also included links, in case you are inclined to want to read more. Enjoy!
January (Promises): "Harry sat in their kitchen - no, his kitchen - remembering all the promises that he and Draco had made to each other."
February (A Family Christmas): "Harry and Draco arrived at the Burrow for Christmas."
March (Three Lions and a Snake): "Philippe Marchand, a muggle-born wizard who had been on a cruise with his parents as a child, had decided at a young age that he wanted to work on a cruise ship."
April (A Spectacle, Slytherin Style): "'Shoot me now,' grumbled Draco as he sat transfixed by the image of Lucius Malfoy, dressed in nothing more than low-rise jeans, leather chaps, cowboy boots, spurs, and a ten-gallon hat."
May (The Reunion): "It had been five years."
June (Running Out of Time, part 13/16 of A Woman Scorned): "Harry awoke with a headache."
July (Games People Play or The Things Your Friends Will Do When You’re Just Too Stupid To See What’s Best For Yourself): "'What the hell?' Harry grumbled, as no less than a dozen owls fluttered outside his bedroom window, tapping on the glass at seven o‘clock in the f-ing morning on a Saturday, thank you very much."
** I did not include part 16 of the same fic from June, and this was the next fic I posted.
August (Love, 5/10 of Getting There): "One year to the day it was."
September (A Hero's Life): "Harry's mind was a blur."
** I did not include the Wrockstock drabbles, as they don't really count as fics. I also didn't include the collaborative The Next Generation of Quidditch Hotness, because it was not my own, but rather written with
alaana_fair and
melmoe1.
October (Smile for the Camera): "Harry sat in the front room of Grimmauld Place, reading the invitation that had just arrived."
November (Harry's Weakness): "Harry opened the letter and smiled."
December (A Masterpiece): "'What are you two doing?' Draco asked."
