Harry was struggling with how to tell Ron about his relationship with Draco.

They had been seeing each other for three months, and decided that it was silly to keep their relationship a secret now that Voldemort was dead. Even though Gryffindors and Slytherins were at each others’ throats as a rule, it hadn’t prevented the occasional couple from emerging between the two rival houses. Most friends would come around eventually.

No, Harry’s problem was Ron. Malfoys and Weasleys just didn‘t get on.

“Here’s the thing, Ron. Malfoy and I are … well, we’re together. Don’t bother arguing --”

“Okay.”

“What?!?” Harry couldn’t believe his ears. “What do you mean okay?”

“Well, I would think that was obvious. If he makes you happy, then it’s okay with me.”

“Who are you, and what did you do with my best mate?”

“Here’s the thing, Harry. After everything that we’ve all been though, don’t you think life is enough of a struggle? Why not enjoy what you can? I know I plan to.”

Harry was sure that someone had messed with Ron’s head, but he wasn’t going to argue with him.

“Of course you know I’ll kill him if he hurts you.”

And thanks for the return offer. Um ... you're halfway through? I don't have my Beltane assignment yet (unless it came today). I am, however, partway through the slashnotsmut one ... haven't started the slashfest one yet, although I have the framework in my mind. Yikes! That's THREE fic exchanges ... I must be insane! I got my assignment last night, and I got very lucky in that what the person wanted was something I had wanted to do for a while anyway, so i had some ideas already in my head. Plus, I don't do real long fics- I have about 1100 words written so far(it was REALLY boring at work because of the blizzard) and will do the sex/smut at home tonight or tomorrow. I am kind of trying to get a jump on the exchanges because while it is boring at work now, it won't be after about mid-march and I won't want to do anything but come home and go to bed.

Well, look at what I got today ... my hds_beltane assignment, and it's not YOU so I can use you as a beta. I had a plot bunny start on something a little while ago, then my laptop hard drive crashed, and I lost it. I think the storyline (reworked a bit) is a perfect starting place for this one, so I can recreate (or potentially recover, once I take it in). Stay tuned ...
