Harry,
I received your letter. It seems that we can converse civilly. Who knew?
I’m glad you agreed about letting go of the past - at least some of it. I've even considered having my memory modified - removing the less pleasant parts. It would be wonderful to be free of the knowledge of some of what I've done.
On that subject, I'm not sure what you mean about seeing and hearing everything on the Astronomy Tower. More than that, I'm confused. Why would you even consider being my friend after that?
I doubt I'll ever understand you, Potter.
Draco.
Draco,
Back to Potter? If it makes you feel any better, I doubt I'll ever understand you either.
I saw you lower your wand. I saw the conflict on your face, the pain in your eyes as you thought - really thought - about what it would mean to kill someone. And you couldn't do it.
I heard Dumbledore offer you protection. I heard your fear, your loyalty, your love for your parents. You didn't do what you did for the wrong reasons. You just made the wrong choices.
Then you made the right one. And now you're free.
Harry.

Date: 2007-08-31 01:19 am (UTC)BTW, how are you doing these days? How's the foot?
Up for a beta job? I have about 5 or 6 fests I'm writing for, and would love to send one your way, if you're up for it. Sadly (for you) and thankfully (for me), no crack fics this time around. *smooches*

Date: 2007-08-31 01:29 am (UTC)I'm working hard and the foot is better (thank God) - my toes are now sporting a very pretty French pedi - perks of working in a spa ;)
How are you and the boys?
Yes, I can beta for you anytime you want. I'll have an m-preg for you sometime next month so be prepared. Are you writing for that? And are there any nice H/D Christmas fests I could sign up for?
*loves*

Date: 2007-08-31 01:40 am (UTC)M-preg, hmmm? Nope, I'm not entering that one. I stay a safe distance from those. If the writing is good (which I suspect it will be, given those authors signing up for it), I'll read them, but I don't think I'd do the genre justice by writing one.
hd_holidays (I signed up) ... merry_smutmas? Both are closed, though. Not sure of any more.
