Well, I know she is not well, and that she needs help (which she'll get at St. Mungo's). But Draco is, after all, a Slytherin, and is protecting his man. Crazy or not, she hurt Harry and everyone else in the process, and Draco couldn't let that go.
And it wouldn't have been very Draco-ish to let that go unpunished, right?
Oooh ... I don't think I read the sequel of that. I recall (might not even be the same story, but I think it was) that Snape had "let it slip" where Terry had been taken, and I believe Lucius took care of something. Can't recall what that was, but a similar story, so I think it might have been that. *makes mental note to look that up later*
