Hee! Already used for the [livejournal.com profile] dracoharry100 Christmas Challenge. But, so as not to have your suggestions go to waste, here goes ...

Harry sat by the fire watching Draco.

He grasped his mug of mulled apple cider like a lifeline; it was all he could do to keep from reaching out and touching the other man.

They'd struck up a friendship over the past year, and Harry didn't want to ruin it by doing something stupid. With great concentration, he forced himself to - for once - not act like a Gryffindor, without thinking things through first.

Draco turned to face him - too quickly for Harry to react, and he was caught. The reflection of fairy lights from the newly-decorated Christmas tree danced in Draco's eyes and he smirked knowingly.

"What are you thinking about?"

Harry's mind raced, trying to cobble together some reasonable excuse for staring. But then Draco's tongue traced his bottom lip, ever so slowly, and Harry thought no more.

It was sixth year all over again, and he was in the Gryffindor common room, moving to close the gap between them. Only this time he was in his own living room and Draco was here, not Ginny. And when he pulled Draco to him and their lips met, all thoughts of Hogwarts and Ginny Weasley evaporated in an instant.

Draco's response was immediate and eager, like he too had been holding back.

When they parted - a minute or an hour later, he couldn't be sure - Draco's smirk returned.

"Took you long enough," he said.

Harry choked out a laugh. Oh, this was going to be the best Christmas ever.

Merry Christmas! :D
