Summary:   It has been a year since Draco and Harry reconnected.

"I can't believe it's only been a year. They look like they've been together for a lifetime."

"I still can't believe it's Malfoy."

"He makes him happy, Ronald. Really happy."

"I know. It's just ..."

"Ron, it's all in the past. He was on our side during the war, and before that, he owned up to his mistakes, and took responsibility for his choices." Hermione looked at her boyfriend. "And most of all, he is NOT his father."

"I know that. I really do. It's just that I'm going to miss him."

"Why? Are you planning on going somewhere that I don't know about, Ronald Weasley?" she teased him.

"No." He gave her a perplexed look.

"Well, he's not going anywhere either. Now get over there. Harry needs you."

Ron made his way over to his best friend who, Ron had to admit, cleaned up very well.

"Thanks for doing this, Ron."

"Of course, mate. Wouldn't have it any other way."

"Really?"

"Really, Harry. Look, I hate to admit it, and if you ever tell anyone I said this I may have to hex you, but he's good for you." He looked at Harry's somewhat shocked expression, and continued. "I've never seen you so alive, so happy.  And if the ferret is the reason for it, who am I to stand in your way?"

"Thanks, Ron."

"So let's get on with this, then. Your bride awaits!"

Harry rolled his eyes at his best man, but smiled. This was it; he was really doing it.

As he entered the room, he caught Draco watching him, grey eyes full of love. The exchanged a nod and a smile. This is the first day of the rest of my life, Harry thought, as he remembered the lost time after the war, and also the past year. And, with this man by my side, what a grand life it promises to be!

Oh, that was so sweet! ♥ It's wonderful to see Hermione being the voice of reason, and making Ron see that Draco's not so bad :)

Aww, you made me cry! I love, love, love this! I like that Ron finally accepted that Draco was good for Harry.
(Because we all know he is.)

I can so picture this in my mind. It will be a beautiful ceremony. And an even more beautiful wedding night! Ah, to be a fly on the wall. *g*
