One Last Ride

"Daddy, I want to go on the Ferris wheel," Alexa announced.

"It's too high!" Cecilia pointed out. "I want to go on the carousel."

"That's just for babies," Alexa countered.

"Tell you what, girls," Harry intervened, "I'll take Cecilia on the carousel - which is not just for babies - and Papa can take Alexa on the Ferris wheel."

Harry suppressed a grin as he watched Draco's face turn a pale shade of grey, with just a hint of green. Harry knew his husband was not fond of anything Muggle, least of all anything that lifted him more than a few feet off the ground. Riding in Muggle elevators with him was always a source of amusement for Harry.

Alexa came to his rescue. "But Daddy," she explained, "I think Papa would rather make sure Cecilia is safe on the carousel."

Harry grinned as his husband breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, if you think so, let's you and I go find that Ferris wheel."

At the end of the day, with the girls tucked in for the night, Harry waggled his eyebrows at Draco. "How about one last ride before we go to sleep?"

Riding in Muggle elevators with him was always a source of amusement for Harry. - The mental images of all of Draco's possible reactions had me laughing for several minutes!

How about one last ride before we go to sleep? -- WOOHOO! YES!! Although, Draco better not suspect Harry was teasing him about the Ferris Wheel or Harry will be sleeping on the couch. Stationary. Absolutely no riding involved. LOL!

I imagine the girls to be about 8 and 10, too young for Hogwarts, but old enough to have developed clear personalities.

I write most often from prompts, and when I have a prompt that fits this universe, I add to it. This is not a plot-based verse, but one in which we see family life unfold. In other words, there's no storyline to adhere to for them.
