"You need this, Harry ... we need this."
"Draco, what I need is to keep up with my work. I have so much --"
"Exactly!"
Harry shook his head. "You're making no sense. I have piles of work, and hardly enough time to do it already. Now you want to drag me away to --"
"Harry, I am not dragging you anywhere. I merely threatened to hex you if you didn't join me. You are in desperate need of a vacation, and denying that fact won't change it. You are tired, cranky, and frankly annoying."
"I'm annoying? I'm not the one issuing threats!"
"Harry, listen ... please?" Draco pleaded. He led them both to the sofa, sat them down, and took Harry's hand in his. "You have saved the world enough. Now it's my turn to do a little saving."
"I don't need --"
"Shhh." Draco placed a finger over Harry's mouth to stop him arguing. "I want to see you relax ... really relax, so your shoulders aren't tense." He rubbed the tense muscles of Harry's shoulders to emphasize his point. "I want to see you smile so that it reaches your eyes." He ran his finger between Harry's eyebrows to brush away the frown lines. "And I want to hear you laugh like you really mean it." He placed a soft kiss on Harry's lips. "Okay?"
"Okay," Harry relented. "But I don't know if I can get the time off right now."
"Already taken care of. I talked to Kingsley, and for the next two weeks, you're all mine!" His eyes twinkled mischievously, and all Harry could do was chuckle. He really did love this man. "There, you see? That's a good start!"
One week later, Draco left their cabin to find Harry, who had made it part of his morning ritual to go for a swim in the lake. As he leaned over to feel the temperature of the water, Harry swam up to him and gave him a quick kiss. "Thanks for this," he said.
"For what?"
"For knowing what I need before I do, and being pushy enough to force me into doing it."
"My pleasure," he replied, rubbing his nose against Harry's. "You know, Harry, heroes need saving sometimes too."
