Harry was looking across the crowded bar, glaring at something ... or someone. Ron followed his gaze to find Malfoy standing near the doorway, deep in conversation with some bloke who looked very interested in the blonde.
"Why don't you just go over there and talk to him, Harry? You can't keep all this bottled up inside, you know. It's not healthy." Harry gave him a very confused look. "Seriously, Harry, go tell him what you think of him. It's been a long time coming."
Harry stared, mouth hanging open in disbelief. He looked like he was going to say something, then changed his mind, frowned and continued to gape at his friend.
"No better time than the present," Ron continued, then nudged his friend in Malfoy's direction. "Go on, then."
Harry closed his mouth, squared his shoulders, and replied, "Yeah, Ron. I think you're right. I've waited too long to tell him how I really feel." And he was off.
"You have no idea what you just did," came Hermione's voice from behind him. She grinned knowingly as he looked at her.
"What? Malfoy's a git and he deserves a good tongue-lashing from Harry."
At those words, Hermione nearly collapsed in a fit of laughter. "A tongue-lashing, you say?" she asked once she had regained her composure. "That's one way to put it," she said, nodding her head in Harry's direction.
He had made his way across the room by now, and was leaning in, hand resting on the wall behind Malfoy, speaking into his ear. The other bloke was walking away, glaring at the two of them.
"What -- " Ron began, but was cut off by Hermione.
"Just watch," she said, still grinning, with a glint in her eye.
To Ron's horror, he watched Harry's body move closer to Malfoy's, the Slytherin's one arm wrap around Harry's waist, and his other hand brush lightly through Harry's hair. And then ...
Ron let out a gasp as Harry leaned in and kissed Malfoy. Kissed him! And kept on kissing him.
Looking desperately at Hermione for some support, he was disappointed to see a look of satisfaction on her face. "Well, that's not exactly what I had in mind," he muttered.
"Well," Hermione smirked, "by the looks of things, Harry really is giving Draco a good tongue-lashing!"

Always the last to know!
Hermione should really take pity on him every once in a while and clue him into things before hand...
