I'm sure Hermione has had a terrible time of it. But Ron died, and there is a finality to that which I think helps with closure and moving on. What Harry has to deal with is different; the man he is in love with chose to leave him and to make a new life without him. And Draco's letter clearly states that he loves Harry. So it isn't really that surprising that Harry is hopeful that Draco will come back.
