"Cecilia, come on now!" Harry called. "We're going to be late to Nana Molly's!"

No answer.

"Cecilia, we're running late!" he called again, trying not to get too irritated by his youngest daughter. "Why isn't she answering me?" Harry asked.

Draco laughed. "She told you that for the rest of the holidays, she won't be answering to the name Cecilia."

"Oh, for heaven's sake!" Harry huffed. He struggled to remember what it was she had said. "Snowflake!" Nothing. "Angel!" Still nothing. Draco was reduced to tears by this point, and Alexa was smirking at Harry.

"Well, if the two of you know, would you just call her already?"

"Oh, no, Harry. This is too much fun," Draco replied, and both he and Alexa collapsed into a giggle fit.

"Winter ... snow ... cold," Harry muttered under his breath. "No, that's not it. Something to do with Christmas, I think." He ran some options through his mind, then it hit him. Rolling his eyes, he called, "Noel, it's time for Christmas dinner!"

Cecilia entered the room, passing Harry with eyes sparkling. "I thought we'd never leave!" she announced.

ohh that was too cute! She really stuck to her guns. And she chose such a pretty name!

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
I'd have been irritated far sooner than Harry (though Draco's obviously encouraging her), but all's well that ends well, I suppose.

She wanted to sound Christmasey. *g*

[identity profile] svgurl.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
That was just too funny! I love the name she picked out and how Draco and Alexa were not giving in. She's very sneaky, isn't she? :)

And yay, you posted twice today! That totally made my night.

So, I've decided that for every fic you give me, I will give you a pretty pic of TW. After all 'tis the season, right?

Thanks for the fic!

And here's your pic:

Glad you enjoyed it. I don't think I'd have had Harry's patience.

Glad I could make your night. :D

Ooooh ... that man is just too hot for words. *drools* - Keep 'em coming! By the way, was the last post's icon the serving of TW, or was the pic at the bottom supposed to be him? It showed a Smallville box, and it didn't link to a pic. But the icon was delicious. Yum!

[identity profile] svgurl.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
there was supposed to be a picture on the last post. here's a smaller version. sorry that didn't turn up.

Oh my god! Does that man ever NOT look hot? *drools*

[identity profile] thrnbrooke.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
They're lucky Harry is sooo even tempered with them. I'd have left them.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
I think they know just how far they can push. But, yeah, I'd have considered leaving as well.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
;)

[identity profile] enchanted-jae.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
That's cute, but in a way, it makes me want to swat her...which is why I don't have kids. I'd let mine go hungry for that. *shrugs*

[identity profile] piratesmile331.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd have been pissed as well. I'd have left... I'm such a good mother.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd have been close. Apparently we went to the same school of mothering. *g*

[identity profile] piratesmile331.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, the "I'm not a rich wizard, and I don't have time for this shit" school of mothering.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. Same one. Heh.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
*cackles* - I'd be close. I have boys. Some of my friends/family have girls, and have described such incidents throughout the years ('changing' their names, requiring parents to 'play along,' etc.). I've always been O.o about the whole thing, thanking every deity out there that I have boys. Loud & boisterous I can handle.

*was meant to have sons*

[identity profile] winter-june.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
Hahahah.
I can picture Cecilia sitting outside the door rolling her eyes at his 'dumb' forgetful father.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I can see her just waiting for Harry to say 'Noel' so she could prance on in. *rolls eyes*

[identity profile] gurliemoviegeek.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I love that Draco just laughs while poor clueless Harry tries to figure it out...

LMAO

Very, very cute!

Thanks for starting my day with the warm fuzzies!

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Glad you enjoyed it. I'm afraid I (maybe) wouldn't have been quite so patient. ;)

[identity profile] kaykayen.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahaha! When my son was little he went on a 101 Dalmations kick and insisted we call him Lucky for months. My husband and I were Pongo and Perdita. So not only is this a lovely snapshot of their family life, it brings back some lovely memories of my own.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Glad I could bring back some memories. I never had that with my guys, but a number of my friends experienced it with their daughters, so it came to mind when writing this.

[identity profile] piratesmile331.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
We had to call my younger daughter "Simba" for about 6 months when she was on a "Lion King" kick. She was only 3 at the time...

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
*snickers* - I'm picturing one of my boys trying to get me to call him Hercules or Aladdin. Somehow I don't think I would've gotten past the laughter to do it!

[identity profile] piratesmile331.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
We also had to call Emily "Herc" for several months when we were watching "Hercules" about 6 times a day. Maybe she was having gender identity problems, I don't know, because she never asked to be called Meg...

Very cute!

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. Ooooh ... love the Christmas icon. Very sparkly.

[identity profile] nillaskye.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I've been looking for an H/D Christmas icon, but so far, I haven't found any.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-05 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
There's apparently a comm which will Christmasify whatever you want, so ...

Check out this post (http://sesheta-66.livejournal.com/130973.html).

I loved this! Great story!

Thanks. ♥

[identity profile] lackofmendacity.livejournal.com 2007-12-06 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Ahahaha, Cecilia's adorable (albeit a tad aggravating, no doubt :P). *giggles*

Snowflake is such a pretty name, but bad Draco for encouraging her. *g*

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-06 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it was hard for Harry to take a hard line with her when Draco was encouraging the behaviour. Typical dad.

Awwww, I'm glad you don't have anyway to undermine you now. *hugs you gently*

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2007-12-06 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! That's the absolute BEST benefit of being divorced. Well, aside from not having to live with the idiot. ;D

*glomps you*

Children can be so frustratingly cute when they are stubborn about being called a different name.

Great use of the prompt. *hugs*

Thanks, hon.
