Miscommunication
"Malfoy, get in here!" bellowed Kingsley.
"Sir?"
"What is the meaning of this?" he asked, tossing a document across his desk. A very familiar document. A document that he should never have seen. Draco's eyes bulged (he could feel them) and his face went red (he could feel that too).
"An attempt at humour, Sir?"
Kingsley looked sceptical. "I see."
Draco sincerely hoped he didn't see.
"I would have expected that you, of all people in my employ, would know and adhere to proper etiquette, especially where written correspondence is concerned."
"Yes, Sir." It wasn't as though Draco had sent it to Kingsley, after all.
"I don't presume to dictate with whom my Aurors have--" Kingsley looked down at the document and swallowed. Draco stood transfixed, watching the slow motion of Kingsley's Adam's Apple. "--love affairs." The last words were barely audible.
"Love affairs, Sir?" Draco felt a strange compulsion to enhance his boss's discomfort. And laugh.
"Yes." Kingsley struggled for the words. "I don't care, so long as it doesn't interfere with their duties."
"Quite right, Sir."
"Or disrupt others," Kingsley added.
"Of course."
"Malfoy?"
"Sir?"
"This--" He pointed at the offending page. "--would be considered disruptive."
"Of course." Draco bit back his laughter. "Is that all?"
"Yes, and please take it with you."
"Very well, Sir."
Harry approached Kingsley's office as Draco was exiting. "Not now," Draco warned.
Harry looked confused.
"Miscommunication."
Harry looked more confused.
"Something about improper use of interoffice memos. I mean it's not my fault the memo got delivered to Kingsley instead of you."
Harry raised his eyebrows. Draco handed him the note. Harry's cheeks flamed as he read the explicit details of what Draco had planned to do to him on their upcoming weekend away.
"Merlin, Draco," Harry said in a shaky voice. "You drew diagrams?"
Draco shrugged. "What can I say? I was inspired."

That was hilarious.
I loved it! Great job!
The idea of magic failing somehow also makes the story a little more realistic. bravo :)

As I wrote this, I imagined (having worked in government for years) a mailroom of sorts that memos are required (thanks to government red tape) to go through. Magic may deliver them, but they're forwarded on by wizards. :D

Hahaha! *slaps hand on knee* Poor Kingsley, and Harry for that matter. He won't be able to look his boss in the eye for a while. *smirks* If I were Kingsley, I think I'd've burned it for fear of blushing every time I looked at my subordinates.
My brain is now imagining what sort of diagrams. Hee!
