Hidden

Harry returned to London after two years spent travelling the world. The first of what would likely be many parties over the next couple of weeks wasn't until tomorrow -- his birthday -- so he was looking forward to having this night to himself.

He'd tried to settle in, adjust to peace after the war, but he'd found himself restless. Six months after the death of Voldemort, he'd given in to his restlessness and announced that he was leaving. Ron and Hermione had offered to join him, but he dismissed that. He'd had enough of being around the two since they'd become involved, and truth be told, their closeness had made it even more clear to Harry that he lacked that connection in his life. He didn't need a constant reminder.

Two years after leaving, he'd received and accepted the invitation to Neville and Luna's wedding. Strange, he thought; he would have expected Ron and Hermione's nuptials to be what he returned for. He should have known Ron wouldn't have had the bollocks to ask yet. Smiling at the thought, Harry entered The Fox and Ferret, a new pub in Diagon Alley that looked inviting.

Seeing Blaise Zabini behind the bar surprised Harry, but he quickly recovered and took a seat, ordering a pint. "Zabini, I'd have never expected to see you working at a bar."

Zabini smiled slyly as he handed Harry his beer. "I own it," he said, pointing to the sign. "Fox -- that's me. And my partner --"

"Malfoy?" Harry chuckled, finding it amusing that Draco Malfoy would ever want to be reminded of the transformation back in school. "He actually agreed to using that name?"

"Suggested it, actually," came the familiar drawl from behind Harry. He turned and sure enough, saw Draco Malfoy entering the room. He nodded to Harry. "Potter."

Harry's trousers began to feel snug as his eyes swept over the man. Yes, indeed, the last two years had certainly been kind to Malfoy. He was, to put it bluntly, sex on legs. During his tour around the world, Harry had discovered his attraction to the same sex, and most particularly, his propensity towards blondes. Slim blondes with pale skin. As he looked at Malfoy standing there with a smirk on his face, utterly shaggable, everything finally clicked into place. How could he have missed it?

"You suggested it?" Harry asked, finally finding his voice, pleasantly surprised that it came out as clearly as it had. "I find that hard to believe."

"What?" Malfoy asked. "That I have a sense of humour, that I can laugh at myself, or that I have enough business sense to come up with such a good name?"

"I'd never doubt your business sense, Malfoy, especially considering how well you did in school. But you'll have to admit I never got the chance to see the sense of humour you've clearly hidden from me all these years."

"Oh, that's not all I've hidden from you," Malfoy replied with a glint in his eye. Harry read his body language, and if the glare Zabini was shooting in Harry's direction was an indication of the jealousy Harry thought it was, he wasn't far off the mark.

Harry smiled and took a swig of his pint. "Care to show me later?"
