Harry and Draco spent a good deal of time poring over the various pamphlets the travel agency had provided, dismissing the low brow tours outright (Draco absolutely refused to rough it, even if it was in a resort or a cabin with plenty of modern conveniences).

After settling on putting their names on three separate waiting lists for exclusive vacation getaways at some point in the future, they settled on taking an international portkey to South Australia for a week. Harry had managed to convince Draco that two days in some posh resort would be wasted, since they were unlikely to come out of the room much in such a short time anyway.

While Draco protested this outright dismissal, Harry convinced him that the Bed and Breakfast they had found (a private cottage on a vineyard, actually) would be a perfect, private getaway for them to celebrate their first Valentine's Day together. It was only an hour outside Adelaide, so they could take in the sights there while staying outside the city. And they could enjoy taking in some winery tours while they were there, something Harry knew Draco would appreciate. They weren't by the beach, but the extensive lawns and gardens would provide a romantic setting for moonlit walks.

"And any needs the cottage doesn't provide for," Harry assured him, "I will."

"You'll be at my service?" Draco asked, eyebrow raised suggestively.

"Night and day," Harry assured him with a cheeky grin.

"Well, alright then," he relented. "I'll have to warn you, though ... some suggest that I'm a bit high maintenance."

Harry nearly fell off the sofa laughing at that. "Tell me something I don't know." Still chuckling, he added, "It's a good thing you're so gorgeous. It goes a long way to help make up for all the maintenance you require. Oh, and I suppose it helps that I love you."

"I hate you," Draco scowled at him.

Grinning and pulling Draco into a searing kiss, Harry growled, "Yeah, sure you do."

HA! lovely. A very good choice for them. (Psst, South Australia, southern Australia is everything below Canberra or Sydney-Perth)

I want to go to that B&B!!! Preferably with a view into Harry and Draco's room...*sighs*

Thanks for the head's up. Will fix.

They get the entire cottage to themselves. I'm sure there are enough windows for your viewing pleasure. *nods*

It was only an hour outside Adelaide, so they could take in the sights there while staying outside the city.

Ahahahah, what sights? *snickers madly*

(Sorry about the snickering, but there tends to be a running joke in Sydney about how boring Adelaide really is. But I'm sure Harry'll make it fun for Draco. ;D)

Draco is so fun, even when he's high maintenance. I know I am probably repeating myself at this point but this part was wonderful. I'm really enjoying this story and I'm so excited for the boys to get their vacation!

Thanks for the update!

Harry has good taste in both men and bed and breakfasts. I hope Draco appreciates what he's got (I know he does!). Looks like it's going to be a smexy lovely vacation.

*Hugs Draco tight*
Thanks!:D
I loved this!

Ah, so funny! What a wonderful vacation they have lined up.

*pouts* Someone suggested I use Adelaide, so I did.

I did find some tour information as well, but I'll save details for the next installment. I'm sure they'll have lots to keep them occupied, whether or not they bother to leave the cottage. ;)

I think the boys are looking forward to the time away also. :)

Even if they never leave the cottage. ;)

I think I know who suggested Adelaide (cheeky Pommie!)

I had a blast when I was there. Shopping was good - especially the sex shop *ebil grin*

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Ooooh! Sex shop? Do tell ... in the name of research, of course! Heh. ;)

[identity profile] decynthus.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Research... right! ;)

This was about two and a half years ago, but if memory serves, they had a lots of video porn, a good selection of leather toys (floggers, etc.) and restraints, and some pretty freaky dildos. Just an all around good variety of stuff.

We just had to go in there to corrupt initiate one member of our group who'd never seen the inside of one. It was such a hoot!

[identity profile] lackofmendacity.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm, were they by any chance an Adelaider? *is suspicious*

Heheh, you never know, you might convince me via this series that Adelaide is a wonderful place to visit after all. *g*

[identity profile] nocturnali.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, it's restful.
And there's plenty of churches to look at and beaches to go to. And the wineries, don't forget the wineries - 3 or 4 regions. And parklands. And well, you can actually walk from one end of Adelaide city to the other in 15 minutes and see the whole place in a day.

Okay, so there's plenty of time to sit around doing nothing but writing slash and chatting online... : D

[identity profile] nocturnali.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
She didn't really need corrupting...

[identity profile] nocturnali.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh heh...

[identity profile] nocturnali.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Adelaide is a beautiful place.
At least they won't get mugged or murdered. And if they do it will be bizarre and be on the news for twenty years as an unsolved crime...

[identity profile] nocturnali.livejournal.com 2008-02-14 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
The Barossa is actually about an hour and a half outside Adelaide. But if one is Apparating, it would be decidedly less. Traffic you know... ; )

Seppeltsfield is beautiful. A very old and well established place. The whole of the Barossa is amazing. Some of the best wines in the world come from there.

Lovely chapter. Tell the boys to txt me. : D
