"What on earth is that monstrosity?" Draco asked.

"It's a Yule log," answered Hermione, looking a little hurt. Ron darted Draco a scathing look.

"What the hell is a Yule log?" he continued.

"It's a log cake," Harry explained impatiently, but much more nicely that Ron would have, he was sure.

"Who would want to eat a log?" Draco asked incredulously.

"Er ..." Harry suppressed his laughter. "It's actually just cake in the shape of a log, which is traditional to serve at Christmas."

"It's covered in whipped cream," Draco observed and winked at Harry. "Where can we get one?"

What?! We don't have Yule Logs here in Australia! *weeps*

(I've never actually heard of it either. :/)

From Draco's questions, it sounds huge too. No fair, I want one... *pouts*

Heheh, cute drabble though, Draco being confused is adorable. :D

Truth be told, I wasn't sure what it was either, though I thought about it being a 'log cake' ... then I saw one in the store absolutely coated in whipped cream, all fluffy and wild to look like snow. *was quite excited*

They aren't that big, really, but I suppose they could come in a variety of sizes. The 'log' just refers to the shape.

Thanks ♥

Oh, really - mountains of whipped cream snow? *is also excited*

...

Canada, here I come. Log cakes, quake in fear!!

;D

Hee! I'd send you one, but I suspect the whipped cream (really, the only reason for having it) wouldn't make the trip very well.

When I looked up yule log cakes on Google, they're all decorated to look like ... well, logs (I suppose that's the traditional way). Stupid if you ask me. I like the one in my local store, all slathered in whipped cream. Mmmmm.

Awwww... that's sweet of you. *cuddles*

Actually, you've given me the idea of googling "yule log" to see what they looked like - it came up with a bunch of, well, actual logs. :/

But "yule log cake whipped cream" worked well. :D

And they look so yummy! ^_^ Eat a slice for me, yeah? *g*

I've never had one before, but I'm all about getting one this year! And yeah ... I might even have more than one slice for you.

Hee, yay! ^_^ Eat, my little monkey. :D

Seriously though, you enjoy it now. *cuddles*
